OOSTROZEBEKE - The meat processing company Kipco-Damaco, owned by the Vandaele family, is looking for ten employees with immediate effect to support its growth. The ever-expanding site in Oostrozebeke currently employs 80 people, but the group with a worldwide presence employs around 170 people. Reinforcement is mainly sought for middle management.

CEO Iris Vandaele and her brother Bruno Vandaele represent the second generation within the family business that was founded in 1982. In short, Kipco-Damaco produces and delivers meat that is processed by others into an end product. But the SME is slowly pushing its boundaries to more food products such as deep-frozen French fries (under private label) or nuggets. "The emphasis is on top quality," says Iris Vandaele and assisting partner Philip Eeckman. “That means a state-of-the-art production process, one hundred percent traceability and an environmentally-friendly context without waste. We are the first company in the sector to receive the CR10 certification.”

It has only brought growth to the company. Today, the relatively unknown West Flemish SME has 9 sales offices worldwide and exports its offer to more than 125 countries worldwide. Production is centralized in our own country (Oostrozebeke, Dendermonde) and in Poitiers, France. "An internal and independent investigation has shown that the vast majority of our staff feels great with us," says Iris Vandaele. "We do everything we can to get people involved as much as possible, but based on human values."

Kipco-Damaco is, only in Belgium, good for a turnover of around 55 million euros. Consolidated, worldwide, the turnover is around 150 million euros.
